Job summary

TruBlue Total House Care in Roanoke, VA is seeking a skilled Lead Handyman/Home Service Technician. You’ll perform a range of trades and, after proving yourself, lead a team of technicians reporting to you.

This full-time, W2 role offers a weekly pay cycle, pay rate $23–$30/hour based on experience, and year-round work. Benefits include PTO, 401(k), bonuses, tool and gas allowances, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ year track record as a Carpenter/Craftsman.
• Estimation skills and home inspection experience (strongly preferred).
• Ability to perform minor electrical and plumbing work.
• Own a standard set of tools.
• Own your own work truck (gas allowance provided).
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of residential handyman services, including carpentry, tiling & flooring, painting, drywall repair, and light plumbing/electrical work.
• Conduct home assessments and assist with project estimates when needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer-facing demeanor.
• Lead and support technicians as you grow into a leadership role.
• Ensure all work meets TruBlue quality and safety standards.

Our mission is to help homeowners maintain the safety, functionality, and value of their homes through reliable handyman services, home assessments, and ongoing maintenance solutions.

In this role, you’ll start as a hands-on technician and, after proving yourself, lead a group of technicians who will report directly to you.
