Job summary

HELIX Environmental Planning, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead habitat restoration and environmental construction projects across Orange County and the Inland Empire.

The role partners with clients, restoration crews, and leadership to deliver exceptional results in a hybrid schedule with about three days in the office. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience, with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Construction Management, Environmental Planning, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience managing or supporting projects in habitat restoration, environmental construction, natural resource management, landscaping, public works, or related projects.
• Experience with project coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and field operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with native plant identification, habitat restoration practices, invasive species management, stormwater BMPs, erosion control, irrigation systems, and native vegetation management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking platforms.
• Ability to perform project site visits and field oversight in varying terrain and weather conditions.
• Valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan field operations and coordinate with biologists and environmental specialists.
• Review budgets and schedules and meet with clients.
• Visit active restoration sites and support crews and subcontractors.
• Evaluate project progress and identify opportunities for future work.
