Job summary

Sartell-St. Stephen Schools is seeking a Lead Groundskeeper to direct the work of the groundskeeper and seasonal staff, and to maintain the district's grounds, playground equipment, athletic fields, vehicles and parking lots.

Responsibilities include seasonal mowing, snow removal, irrigation maintenance, equipment repairs, and setting up athletic facilities. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, a Minnesota driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Minnesota Driver's License required.
• 1-3 years of experience in groundskeeping or related field.
• Knowledge of snow removal equipment, mowers and other grounds equipment.
• General knowledge of sprinkler/irrigation systems and equipment maintenance.
• Effective communication, organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and guide others.
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds continuously, 50 pounds frequently, and 75 pounds occasionally.

• Perform mowing, snow removal, and routine maintenance and repairs on grounds equipment.

Job Summary:

The Lead Groundskeeper is responsible for directing the work of the groundskeeper and seasonal employees and maintaining the District's grounds, playground equipment, athletic fields, vehicles, and parking lots. This position performs seasonal mowing, snow removal, equipment maintenance, athletic field preparation, and delivery services.

Job Duties:

The Lead Groundskeeper will maintain District lawns and grounds, including mowing, trimming, pruning, and monitoring irrigation systems; perform snow and ice removal; and perform routine maintenance and repairs on mowers, tractors, and other grounds equipment. This position provides work direction and assignments to groundskeeper and seasonal staff, including equipment-specific training. Additional responsibilities include setting up and maintaining District athletic fields, coordinating interschool mail and building-to-building deliveries, and maintaining outdoor areas and athletic facilities.
