Job summary

Ventana Canyon is seeking a Landscape Supervisor to oversee turf, trees, shrubs and beds around The Lodge at Ventana Canyon in Tucson, AZ. You will supervise staff, plan irrigation, apply fertilizers and pesticides, and maintain records.

The role involves scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring guest satisfaction through high-quality landscape maintenance. Experience in landscape management, project planning, team leadership, and strong communication with clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Pesticide Application License.
• Must be 18 years old.
• High School or equivalent education required.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assists the manager in interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Assists in developing ongoing training programs.
• Assists in the management of department members that may include, but is not limited to: Landscapers.
• Conducts staff meetings with subordinates.
• Assists in the development and implementation of the landscape plan for the facility.
• Ensures that costs associated with landscaping are kept within the parameters of the established landscape budget.
• Assists in monitoring business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses.
