The Golf Course Superintendent will maximize course health within budget, oversee grounds, irrigation, and staff, and coordinate with the club golf committee and GM to ensure top playability and safety. This role may exceed 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience as a golf course superintendent or senior agronomy role.
• Strong understanding of maintenance operations and budgets.
• Familiarity with agronomy, irrigation, and course conditioning.

Responsibilities

• Maximize golf course condition and health within budget.
• Manage and maintain golf course properties and equipment.
• Keep accurate work records for department personnel.
• Establish short- and long-range plans for the golf course.
• Communicate with the golf committee to align priorities.
• Directs and delegates to the Assistant Superintendent and others.
• Daily communication with the General Manager and Head Golf Professional.
• Inspect course to evaluate and recommend improvements.
• Maintain permits and licenses for the agronomy department.
• Develop and maintain drainage, irrigation, and watering systems.
• Operate maintenance equipment and ensure safe handling of chemicals.
• Hire and train maintenance personnel.
• Ensure HR processes (I-9, e-verify, onboarding) within 3 days of hire.
• Follow HR rules and safety programs.
• Hold monthly agronomy staff meetings.
• Optimize resource utilization.
• Position may require >40 hours per week.
