Job summary

Summit Therapeutics Inc. is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead site budget development and contract negotiations for clinical trials. You will partner with Legal, Finance, CROs, and clinical teams to ensure compliant site agreements, budgets, and timely activations across global projects.

The role requires strong negotiation, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a focus on oncology programs and GCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration or related field.
• 8+ years' experience with clinical trial site agreements in biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
• Experience in oncology is highly desirable.
• Strong global negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience in clinical finance, business development, or clinical operations.
• Strong financial acumen and budgeting abilities.
• Experience working with global site budgets and escalation pathways.
• Vetting and negotiating with sites/vendors is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of pricing strategies for site budgets to enable contract execution and activation.
• Negotiate and finalize site agreements, including budgets and documentation.
• Present budgets to executive leadership for approval.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, CRO and clinical teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide study-wide site payment estimates and forecasts.
• Ensure indemnification, liability, and confidentiality provisions are included.
• Monitor timelines, quality standards, and contractual obligations with CROs and vendors.
• Develop outsourcing strategies to support clinical trials across phases.
• Address budget, invoice, payment, and PO concerns with internal teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with external partners and sites.
