Job summary

Northern York County School District in Pennsylvania is seeking a Head Girls Lacrosse Coach to lead the varsity program, teach fundamental skills, strategy, and conditioning, and model sportsmanship and citizenship for student-athletes.

The coach will develop and implement policies, supervise staff and volunteers, ensure safety protocols and compliance with district and league rules, and mentor players to balance athletics with academics.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience leading a high school or comparable program.
• Ability to mentor student-athletes and staff; uphold sportsmanship and citizenship values.

Responsibilities

• Has thorough knowledge of athletic policies and ensures implementation by staff.
• Implements and interprets system, state and league regulations for staff.
• Establishes program philosophy, designs staff meetings, and promotes professional growth.
• Trains staff and delegates duties; evaluates assistants.
• Maintains discipline, morale and cooperation; assists in scheduling and transportation for events.
• Ensures preparation for events and practices; coordinates with maintenance and school staff.
• Maintains equipment inventory and safety; enforces proper use of equipment.
• Advises athletic director on policy changes; mentors athletes in character development.
• Attends meetings and maintains good public relations with media and booster clubs.
• Supervises and supports coaches and volunteers; ensures compliance with district policies.
