Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for the Head Girls' Golf Coach position at Durango High School for the 2026/2027 season. The regular season begins February 2027.

This position is responsible for all aspects of the Girls' Golf Program at Durango High School, including supervision, budget administration, team discipline, equipment care, facilities care, communications with administration, players and parents, middle school/community involvement, fundraising, and planning

Qualifications

• Valid CHSAA Certification or Colorado Teaching Certificate/License.
• Fundamental knowledge of golf.
• Experience working with school-aged athletes/students.
• Ability to work as an integral part of the coaching staff.
• Current medical injury treatment coursework.

Responsibilities

• Supervision, mentoring, and assisting in the evaluation of assistant coaches.
• Administration of budget.
• Team supervision and discipline.
• Care and inventory of uniforms and equipment.
• Care of facilities.
• Effective communication with school administration, players and parents.
• Involvement with middle school and community based programs.
• Fundraising.
• Practice and competition planning.
