The University of Rochester is seeking a Geriatric Psychiatry Nursing Worker to assist in the nursing care of mentally ill patients, implementing psychiatric treatment plans for groups and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. The role supports staff development and data reporting within a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Human Services or progression toward a Bachelor’s in Nursing/Human Services.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Human Services or 2 years toward Bachelor’s in Nursing/Human Services preferred.
• Experience in psychiatric or geriatric care preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced mental health setting.

Responsabilités

• Delivers nursing care to mentally ill patients per interdisciplinary treatment plan.
• Implements and adjusts treatment plans for assigned patient groups.
• Participates in planning conferences and team discussions.
• Coordinates care across the continuum with multiple disciplines.
• Records data and reports as required by staff and supervisors.
• Assists in staff development and orientation of new technicians.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
