Job summary

PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP board-certified or board-eligible General Surgical Pathologist to join a hospital-based practice in Statesboro, Georgia. Cytopathology training is a plus but not required. Candidates based in the Savannah, Pooler, Hinesville, and Augusta areas are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• AP/CP Board Certification or Board Eligibility.
• Eligible for Georgia medical license.
• Strong diagnostic skills and commitment to quality.
• Comfortable practicing independently with regional support available.

Responsibilities

• Sign-out of general surgical pathology cases ± cytology cases.
• Perform frozen sections and intraoperative consultations (infrequent).
• Participate in ROSE procedures (no requirement to sign out cytology).
• Clinical pathology oversight as needed.
• Participate in tumor boards once per month, and interdisciplinary discussions.
• Lead or support laboratory quality and operational initiatives.
