Job summary

Target is seeking a lead engineer for the Cybersecurity AI Activation and Engineering team in Minnesota. You will own the architecture for AI-driven security initiatives, guiding scalable design and cross-functional delivery.

Bring 7+ years of software development experience, production AI/ML expertise, and deep knowledge of distributed systems. This Hybrid/Flex role combines onsite collaboration at Target HQ MN with virtual work, within the U.S. only.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software development with a full cycle implementation.
• Experience integrating AI/ML into production systems.
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Google ADK, and Huggingface models.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the application architecture for AI-driven cybersecurity initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable security solutions.
• Establish new standards and best practices for AI systems (LLMOps, reliability, sustainability).
• Mentor teams, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery of complex construction and automation tasks.
