Job summary

Mobius Renewables is recruiting a Lead Plant Operator to oversee day-to-day operations at our Renewable Natural Gas facility in Michigan. You will supervise the site with a small team, focusing on maximizing production while prioritizing safety, environmental compliance, and reliability.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, recordkeeping, and the ability to coordinate maintenance, outages, and vendor services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in renewable gas production preferred.
• Strong recordkeeping and logging skills.
• General troubleshooting abilities.
• Mechanical and basic electrical knowledge.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with pumps, blowers, or gas compressors.
• Heavy equipment operations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safety oversight and LO/TO review; raise safety concerns to management.
• Environmental monitoring and monthly reporting; ensure compliance.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks with management and operators.
• Schedule operators and plan outage events.
• Work with third party vendors to ensure timely service.
• Respond to callouts and manage the callout roster.
• Operate and tune plant to maximize production with safety.
• Maintain detailed production data, equipment hours, service schedules.
• Keep plant and grounds clean; store parts and supplies inventory.
