Job summary

New Alternatives for Children, Inc. (NAC) is seeking a NAC Futures Supervisor to lead a team of coaches serving youth in NAC Futures programs. The role focuses on developing academic and career goals, coordinating services, and modeling strengths-based, client-centered practice.

This full-time position requires supervisory experience and excellent organizational, written, and oral skills; travel in NYC may be required, with compensation in the $67,000–$72,000 range.

Qualifications

• Master's level preferred.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience or 3 years of Fair Futures experience.
• Highly developed engagement skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise coaches who work with 15+ youth aged 14–26.
• Help youth develop academic and career goals and connect to schools, programs, housing and resources.
• Model a strengths-based, client-centered approach.
• Coordinate access to NAC and external services including mental health, primary care, education support, housing, workforce programs.
• Participate in 1:1 meetings with coaches and youth.
• Coordinate tutoring opportunities for NAC Futures youth.
• Organize in-person events and trips for NAC Futures youth.
• Develop youth-led programs including discussion groups and trips-based groups.
• Encourage participation in pro-social activities outside NAC.
• Collaborate with social workers, therapists, nurses, volunteers and others.
• Participate in case conferences and staff meetings.
• Attend trainings and professional development opportunities.
• Assist with presentations or workshops about NAC Futures.
• Collaborate on grant reporting and applications.
• Maintain notes and data; present quantitative/qualitative data as needed.
