Job summary

Southern Cremations & Funerals seeks a Funeral Director/Embalmer to execute licensed duties for funeral arrangements, embalming, and services in compliance with Georgia law. The role also involves supervising apprentices and coordinating with the sales team to present service and property options to families.

The candidate should hold current Georgia State Funeral Director and Embalmer licenses (or be able to reciprocate) with strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to lift 60+

Qualifications

• Leadership and interpersonal skills to coordinate with families, clergy, coworkers, and the sales team.
• Ability to supervise Apprentices and Funeral Assistants under licensed direction.
• Preference for bilingual English/Spanish communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed duties with funeral arrangements, embalming, and conducting services as prescribed by Georgia Law.
• Supervise Apprentices under your license and assist supervision under a licensed preceptor.
• Manage Funeral Assistants, Administrative Assistants and Apprentices assigned to assist in arrangements.
• Perform other duties in the Funeral Home or Cemetery as needed for company needs.
