Job summary

Peraton seeks a highly skilled Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to architect cloud-based SIGINT microservices for a national security program. You will guide architecture, drive development, and collaborate with top-tier engineers to deliver secure, scalable solutions that meet customer goals.

Expect hands-on leadership across Java/Spring, frontend frameworks, and cloud-native tooling in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI poly (US citizenship).
• Experience defining technical roadmaps and aligning tasks with customer goals.
• Backend development with Java (Spring/Spring Boot).
• Frontend proficiency in HTML/CSS/JavaScript (Angular/React/Vue).
• Experience with databases: MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, pipelines, SonarQube, SAST, and code scanning.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerized systems.
• CI/CD practices and DevOps mindset; Security+ or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of cloud-based SIGINT microservices.
• Interface with customers and project managers to align deliverables.
• Collaborate with Analysts and Systems Engineers to deliver value.
• Implement Agile software development across teams.
• Utilize modern tech stack: Java, Spring, Angular, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes.

Job description

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, 3 years with PhD.
• Additional 4 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Top Secret/SCI Clearance with CI poly (active/current) - U.S. Citizenship Required
• Experience defining technical roadmaps, planning resources, and aligning engineering tasks with Customer goals
• Back-end development experience with Java (Spring/Spring Boot Framework)
• Proficiency in front-end technologies:
• HTML,
• CSS,
• JavaScript (frameworks like Angular, React or Vue.js)
• Hands-on experience with databases; MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar.
• GitLab (Pipelines, Automated CI/CD, SonarQube, SAST, Code Scanning, NexusIQ, Dependency Scanning)
• Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with containerized systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines DevOps practices.
• Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days

Desired Qualifications:

• Understanding of systems engineering principles and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement: Interface regularly with project managers and customers, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Design, Develop, Deploy: Support
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with end-user Analysts, Systems Engineers, and fellow Software Engineers to plan, design, and develop complex electronic data processing systems that deliver value to the Intelligence Community.
• Agile Development: Implement software solutions using a fast-paced Agile methodology, continuously iterating and enhancing capabilities.
• Advanced Tech Stack: Work with modern frameworks and tools, including Java, Spring Boot/Spring Framework, Angular/Typescript, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, and more.
• Continuous Integration & Delivery: Leverage CI/CD tools (i.e. GitLab, GitLab Pipelines) to continuously build, test, and integrate software with efficiency and precision.
