Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Corporate Technology team within Risk Technology. You will contribute as a core technical member, delivering secure, scalable software across multiple domains while driving AI-assisted engineering practices.

You will work on cloud-enabled solutions with AWS, Databricks, Hadoop, and Kubernetes, and contribute to CI/CD and security throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering design, development, testing and stable operations.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE and front-end frameworks (React/Angular).
• Experience with automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Experience with Relational DBs, SQL, GIT/Bitbucket, Maven, microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience leading AI-assisted development tools with secure validation standards.
• Understanding of responsible AI in engineering workflows and secure data handling.
• Full SDLC proficiency and agile practices including CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Cloud-native experience with AWS and Spring ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions and designs with scalable, secure approaches.
• Develops high-quality production code and reviews peer code.
• Automates remediation to improve stability of software applications.
• Implements statistical algorithms in Java/Scala on large data sets.
• Drives AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery speed.
• Utilizes SDLC tools to maximize automation and value realization.
• Collaborates with cloud enablement using AWS and related services.
• Works with data platforms including on-prem Hadoop, AWS, Databricks and Kubernetes.
• Performs unit and integration testing using Java components.
