Solugenix is seeking a backend-heavy MERN engineer for a 12-month contract based out of New York, NY (Remote). You will design, develop, and support scalable backend applications using Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript, and MongoDB, with strong AWS experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall software development experience.

Solugenix is assisting a client in their search for a Lead Full Stack Engineer. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based out of New York, NY (Remote).

We are looking for a Lead MERN Stack Engineer with strong backend development and AWS experience to design, develop, and support scalable, high-performance applications and services. This is a backend-heavy position. The ideal candidate should have deep hands‑on experience with Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, MongoDB, microservices, and AWS, along with working knowledge of React.js. The engineer will work closely with product, architecture, DevOps, QA, and other engineering teams to build secure and reliable cloud-based solutions.

Candidate Profile

We are specifically looking for a backend‑heavy MERN engineer, not a frontend‑focused React developer.

Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $75/hour to $75/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
