The Amazon operations team is looking for Lead Fulfillment Associates with a strong record of achieving results to join the expanding team supporting operations leaders and associates in delivering strong operations results within our fulfillment centers.

Job Overview

Lead Fulfillment Associates hold various roles within the Fulfillment Center including, but not limited to: Trainer, Process Assistant, and Shipping Clerk. All role types perform production duties such as picking/packing, receiving/stowing, ensuring inventory accuracy, and unloading/loading trucks. Responsibilities also include communicating instructions, motivating associates, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Role Types
  • ISS Representative: Power connector – maintaining the link between Corporate Retail Teams and the FC, reporting & re‑escalation of tickets, and resolving problem items that cannot be received in the RC. Handles tactical and strategic handling of Retail Request Tickets.
  • Process Assistant: Smooth operator – supports daily management of department duties, allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with suppliers. Escalates barriers and drives standard work in Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
  • Dock Clerk: Dock star – manages inbound flow from scheduling appointments to receipt, communicates with carriers and corporate transportation, plans inbound arrivals, ensures carrier compliance and manages buffers.
  • Receiving Clerk: Mega monitor – schedules inbound deliveries in dock master using Advance Ship Notices, communicates with carriers and corporate transportation, keeps updated on scheduled appointments, monitors releases, trains backup clerks.
  • Shipping Clerk: Super shipper – corresponds with multiple shipping companies, uses their software to ship and track packages, coordinates trailers and dock doors, and ensures proper processes with the Trailer Dock Release program.
  • Non‑Inventory Receive Clerk: Non‑Inventory guru – works with Procurement to administer flow of non‑inventory goods, organizes supplies, corrugates safety equipment, researches missing shipments, stages product, operates PIT equipment.
  • Regulated Waste Coordinator: Leads the Waste Program within the FC, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, providing technical support and tactical execution of the Regulated Waste Procedure.
  • Amazon Robotics (AR) Quarterback: Main responsibility is monitoring overall floor health, leading effective work dispatch, coordinating with learning, RME, and operations teams to drive daily operational goals.
  • Floor Health Monitor: Autonomous operator; resolves issues on the AR floor, helps associates with amnesty processing and prevention.
  • Data Analyst: Works closely with ICQA and operations teams in inbound and outbound to provide data and analytical support for ACES initiatives, root cause investigation, and ensures compliance with ICQA‑related SOX requirements.

Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products.

  • Can lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours; able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Work 40 hours/week, with overtime as required.
  • Age 18 or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completed Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1+ year of direct leadership experience managing others.
  • 1+ year experience in a like environment (manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, large retail).
  • Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train, and assist team members.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting pay ranges from 24.00 to 26.00 USD hourly for the USA, OH, West Jefferson location. Pay includes base rate plus the highest available shift differential. As a total compensation company you are eligible for overtime pay, performance bonuses, and additional earnings.
