Job summary

Wilcore Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to design and build user-facing applications that improve access to federal services for Veterans and their families.

You will work with modern JavaScript frameworks, ensure accessibility, and collaborate across backend, design, and product teams to deliver reliable digital services. The ideal candidate has strong experience with React, TypeScript, and state management, plus familiarity with USWDS/VA Design System and Agile

Qualifications

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and building responsive, component-based UIs.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript for cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with state management tools such as Redux or similar frameworks.
• Experience consuming and integrating with APIs in high-security or large-scale systems.
• Familiarity with VA Design System, US Web Design System (USWDS) or government design standards is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage dependencies, and deliver in complex environments.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

You’ll work with modern JavaScript frameworks, follow federal accessibility standards, and collaborate with backend, design, and product teams to deliver reliable, user-centered digital services. Experience with the VA’s design system, accessibility requirements, or federal digital service delivery is highly valued.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred) and building responsive, component-based UIs.
• Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript, including cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with state management tools such as Redux or similar frameworks.

• Proven track record diagnosing and resolving production issues to improve system reliability and uptime.
• Familiarity with the VA Design System, US Web Design System (USWDS), or other government design standards is a plus.
