Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff FPGA Engineer in Westminster, CO to lead FPGA verification for satellite and aerospace hardware. You will drive verification plans, run complex simulations, and guide debugging to improve reliability and mission success.

You should have deep HDL knowledge, UVM, and hands-on experience with toolchains such as Vivado, Quartus Prime, ModelSim, and QuestaSim, plus MATLAB and Git for verification workflows.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years in FPGA design, analysis, and HDL implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex FPGA verification, debugging, and qualification activities.
• Evaluate simulation results and direct solutions to improve performance and reliability.
• Validate FPGA designs through planning, testing, failure analysis, and change implementation.
• Develop verification plans and review packages for engineering decisions.
• Support customer meetings and design reviews with FPGA guidance.
• Identify improvements in verification methods and FPGA performance.
• Drive initiatives for reliability, maintainability, and design quality.
