Job summary

Ontic Engineering & Manufacturing Inc in Chatsworth, CA is seeking an FP&A Lead to join our fast-growing aerospace manufacturing team. You will report to the Head of FP&A and lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting to drive actionable insights for operations and finance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting/Economics, advanced Excel and modelling skills, and 5+ years FP&A experience, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.
• Strong analytical, presentation and communication skills.
• 5+ years FP&A experience including budgets, forecasts, variance analysis or management reporting.
• Experience with financial models, data analysis or performance reporting tools.
• Ability to work with operational and finance stakeholders and translate financial information into practical actions.
• Experience in manufacturing or aerospace is desirable.
• Experience with Visual and OneStream is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial reporting, budgets, forecasts and business performance against key targets.
• Analyse sales, cost, margin, cash flow, inventory and operational KPIs to identify drivers and opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models, management reports and analytical tools.
• Partner with operational leaders and Finance colleagues to strengthen performance management and financial decision making.
• Provide detailed variance analysis and recommendations based on actual performance versus budget and forecast.
• Lead or support special projects and process improvements that improve reporting and operational performance.
• Develop and maintain finance tools and data analysis capability across the supported business.

Ontic’s Chatsworth, CA, site specializes in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence. With over 1,800 employees across four time zones and ten sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace. Our team is looking for an FP&A Lead to join them. You will report to the Head of FP&A and will have an onsite work structure in Chatsworth, CA.

To be considered for the FP&A Lead opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.

Compensation Pay Range Up to $120k/based on experience
