Job summary

Saragossa is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to anchor the US field engineering team. You will ship production systems in customer environments, not demos, deploying into messy enterprise data stacks where documentation often diverges.

You’ll write Python and SQL daily, own data pipelines, mentor junior FDEs, and manage enterprise deployments from kickoff through go-live and beyond, reporting directly to US leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping software in customer-facing or field engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on Python and SQL capability.
• Experience with data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise integrations.
• Comfortable in regulated or complex enterprise environments (aerospace/defense/industrial a plus).

Responsibilities

Lead Forward Deployed Engineer | Miami, FL / Austin, TX - Relocation packages available.

Series B - Manufacturing and Aerospace - $75mil in Funding.

You are an engineer who ships in customer environments. Not demos. Not proof of concepts. Production systems that change how a factory floor operates, deployed into messy enterprise data stacks where nothing works the way the documentation says it does.

My client is a Series B manufacturing orchestration platform backed by top-tier investors, deployed across 15+ countries with customers including some of the largest aerospace and industrial manufacturers in the world. They are building out their US field engineering function and need a Lead FDE to be the first senior technical hire on the ground, reporting directly into the US leadership team.

This is a player-coach role. You will write Python and SQL daily. You will also set the standard for how the team operates, mentor junior FDEs as they come on, and own the technical relationship with enterprise customers from kickoff through go-live and beyond.

What you will do:

What you bring:

• 5+ years shipping software in customer-facing or field engineering roles
• Strong hands-on Python and SQL. You can build it, not just talk about it
• Experience with data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise integrations
• Comfortable working inside regulated or complex enterprise environments (aerospace, defense, industrial, or similar is a plus)
• US citizenship required due to customer security requirements

Comp: $250,000 to $35,000 range (base plus equity plus relocation support where needed)

This is not a consulting role. You are embedded, you own the outcome, and you build what the customer needs to run. If are currently building these solutions for their ICP or leading a start up in the sector
