Job summary

BMC Software, Inc. is seeking a senior AI deployment engineer to integrate agentic AI into customer environments and drive impactful outcomes.

You will work hands-on across on-prem, cloud, and OpenShift deployments, translating product capabilities into real, valued solutions and feeding field learnings back into the product. The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, strong collaboration with customers and internal teams, and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically 8-13 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Proficient in Python and software engineering fundamentals; knowledge of LLM/RAG/agents and prompt engineering.
• Experience with enterprise systems/API integration and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on experience with containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and CI/CD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of collaborating with customers.
• Rapid prototyping and ownership; willingness to travel as needed.
• Experience across multi-engagement or multi-team environments; setting delivery standards.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and customize BMC's agentic AI in customer environments (on-prem, hyperscaler, or OpenShift).
• Own features and integrations end-to-end, even when requirements are evolving.
• Build integrations with customer systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Support proofs-of-concept and pilots end-to-end; resolve blockers; communicate with stakeholders.
• Travel as required; work with customers across regions/time zones.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor on agentic-AI adoption with human-in-the-loop governance.
• Feed field learnings back into product and engineering from real usage.
• Contribute engineering standards—CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Define repeatable deployment and value-realization patterns for customers.
• Lead complex accounts technically; elevate product gaps with prioritization.
• Coach acceleration engineering practices and align cross-functional teams.

• Define repeatable deployment, integration, and value-realization patterns across customers.
• Lead complex/strategic accounts technically; elevate systemic product gaps with prioritization.
• Coach and raise the bar for the acceleration engineering practice.
• Align Product, Engineering, Security, and Customer teams on shared field standards.

To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• Typically 8-13 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Python and software-engineering fundamentals; LLM/RAG/agents/prompt engineering literacy (depth scales with level).
• Enterprise systems/API integration; cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and CI/CD as level requires.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer comfort scales with level.
• Rapid prototyping and ownership; willingness to travel as needed.
• Multi-engagement or multi-team adoption of practices you led.
• Sets delivery standards for customer engineering, not only excels on one account.
• Balances customization pressure with productized, supportable solutions.
