Job summary

Findlay Tall Timbers Distribution Center dba Ohio Logistics is seeking a Lead Forklift Operator to guide a team on the warehouse floor and support performance goals. You will train, mentor, and supervise Forklift Operators while actively participating in loading, unloading, and inventory movement.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency, with opportunities to influence operations and collaborate with supervisors to meet customer requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

• Three years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
• Experience as a trainer, mentor, or informal team leader preferred.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse tech.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to Forklift Operators on the floor.
• Coordinate workflow for efficient loading, unloading, storage, and movement.
• Train, mentor, and onboard new operators and reinforce safety standards.
• Monitor activities for compliance with policies and customer requirements.
• Safely operate forklift and material handling equipment as needed.
• Verify inbound/outbound shipments and report discrepancies.
• Collaborate with supervisors to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Promote a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
• Ensure proper storage and staging to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate issues and improvement opportunities to leadership.
