Qualifications

• Ten or more years in a footwear stitching room.
• Able to set up and troubleshoot industrial sewing machines.
• Able to run a skill matrix and schedule around absence.

Responsibilities

• Balance and sequence work across stitching stations to meet the schedule.
• Maintain and audit department skill matrix for operator coverage.
• Set thread tension, needle size, stitch length and gauge on equipment.
• Inspect uppers for stitch quality and spacing before release.
• Train new fitters and certify them for unsupervised production.
