Job summary

Aspire Recruitment is seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer based in Shannon for a permanent full-time role, office-based five days a week with no hybrid arrangements. The job focuses on system-level requirements, leading design activities, and cross-platform C/C++ development for embedded operating systems in industrial products.

The ideal candidate holds a third-level degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science, with 3+ years of embedded C/C++ experience and proven leadership

Qualifications

• Hold a third level degree in either an Electrical/Electronics Engineering discipline or Computer Science.
• Minimum of three years experience in developing embedded C/C++ applications for embedded operating systems.
• Experience in designing industrial products.
• Proven ability to lead a team and work across multi-disciplinary teams to secure successful design outcomes for customers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate requirements at system level through collaboration with colleagues in the organisation as required.
• Lead design activities in the role and lead from the front in terms of coaching team engineers on an ongoing basis.
• Perform cross platform C/C++ development alongside ensuring code quality throughout.
