Job summary

GPAC is partnered with a security and life safety contractor to hire a Lead Fire Alarm Technician in Florida. You will oversee installation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems while leading a team of technicians to deliver projects safely and in compliance with codes.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, NICET certification (preferred), strong leadership, and the ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in fire alarm installation, service, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and fire/life safety systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead a team of 4 fire alarm technicians on daily service and project activities.
  • Install, program, test, inspect, and repair fire alarm systems and related equipment.
  • Ensure all work complies with NFPA codes, local regulations, and company standards.
  • Coordinate project scheduling, materials, and workload assignments.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Interface with customers, inspectors, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, service work, and system performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system issues efficiently.

Lead Fire Alarm Technician

The Lead Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for overseeing installation, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems while leading a team of technicians to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities
