Job summary

Tri-City Electrical Contractors, Inc. seeks a Fire System Technician II to test, inspect, maintain, and program fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with state and local Fire Marshals across Florida.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in fire safety installations, Siemens programming experience, a valid Florida driver's license, and the ability to work on-call. Strong documentation, reading blueprints, and customer communication are essential; NICET Level 2 or BASA certification is preferred

Qualifications

• Six (6)+ years in the installation and maintenance of Fire Safety products.
• Siemens programming experience.
• FASA/BASA-certified or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Valid Florida driver's license in good standing.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and be on-call.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a 12th-grade level.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform installation, service, and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems at customer sites.
• Verify system performance and compliance per contract requirements, including testing and calibration.
• Perform complete site surveys and visual inspections of system devices.
• Communicate system performance and deficiencies to customers for accurate quoting.
• Complete documentation of all work, readings, and offsets.
• Mentor lower-level technicians and coordinate with local fire marshals as needed.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and participate in on-call duties.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
