Job summary

Cogent Analytics is seeking a skilled Surveyor to support boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking across central Indiana.

This hands-on, field-focused role partners with project managers, CAD staff, and field crews to deliver precise field data from mobilization through final deliverables. Indiana licensure or active licensure track is preferred, with opportunities to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional field surveying experience.
• Proficiency with total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and data collectors.
• Ability to read and interpret legal descriptions, plats, and deeds.

Responsibilities

• Perform boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking surveys.
• Operate and maintain total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and data collectors.
• Process field data and prepare files for CAD production.
• Lead field crew operations and coordinate with CAD technicians.
• Document field conditions and maintain clear field notes and reports.
