Job summary

Lewis seeks an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee construction projects in the Baltimore area, Montgomery and Frederick counties. You will coordinate field operations, maintain schedules, ensure quality workmanship, and enforce safety standards while collaborating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors.

The role requires 5+ years in field supervision, OSHA 30, and experience with projects around $5M.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Field Superintendent on projects of similar scope.
• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and process equipment installation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple crews, subcontractors, and priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education preferred.
• Experience with projects valued at $5 million or more is strongly preferred.
• Experience with both new construction and renovation projects; historic restoration is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules.
• Coordinate daily activities of field crews and subcontractors.
• Monitor job site safety and enforce OSHA and company safety requirements.
• Ensure work is completed according to project specifications and quality standards.
• Schedule and oversee inspections with government agencies.
• Prepare accurate daily reports documenting progress, workforce, and issues.
• Resolve field challenges using construction methods and equipment knowledge.
• Maintain productivity while meeting schedule and budget objectives.
