Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions is seeking a Field Service Representative to provide operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems across various industries. The Lead FSR will troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and train other FSRs while owning site metrics for covered sites.

This role requires independent work, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to travel to customer sites to ensure contract compliance and optimal system performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or international equivalent with 5+ years’ service/maintenance in an industrial environment.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Preferred: Bachelor/Associate degree in Science/Engineering or technical instrumentation certificate.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, pumps, instrumentation.
• Create and maintain site paperwork with detailed technical summaries.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and chemicals.
• Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems.
• Perform analytical testing (turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, etc.).
• Review customer plant installations against reference drawings and schematics.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Field Service Representative role at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions involves providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems across various industries. This position is critical for ensuring the optimal performance of technologies such as media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis, and more. The representative will be responsible for troubleshooting, conducting maintenance, and performing analytical testing to meet customer needs and contract specifications. As a Lead FSR you will have the added task of being a role model and training other FSRs as well as owning site metrics for sites you cover.

Key Characteristics

• Consult with customer management and operation teams

• Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
• Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
• Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
• Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
• Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site‑specific testing requirements
• Review customer plant installations and compare against WTS reference drawings , electrical schematics, general arrangement, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams
• Provide customers with informal training around operation and maintenance of their system

Required

• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 5+ years' experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred

• Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation
