Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Co. seeks a Senior Lead Field Engineer to support planning, execution, and delivery of complex electrical construction projects.

You will act as the technical liaison among engineering, PM, subcontractors, craft supervision, and clients to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on large-scale industrial, data center, or renewable energy projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of electrical construction or field engineering experience.
• Experience on industrial, power, utility, renewable energy, data center, or large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and codes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Support installation of power distribution systems, substations, switchgear, transformers, controls, and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate RFIs, field changes, and constructability reviews.
• Track quantities, production, and project progress.
• Assist with material procurement, delivery coordination, and subcontractor management.
• Develop and support short-term work plans and project schedules.
• Monitor productivity, costs, and project performance.
• Maintain project documentation, daily reports, RFIs, and as-built records.
• Support forecasting, change management, and closeout activities.
• Mentor Field Engineers and Coordinators; provide technical guidance to field personnel.
• Foster collaboration between engineering, construction, safety, and quality teams.
