Job summary

TI Automotive in Hayward, CA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to organize, monitor, and lead maintenance operations across multiple buildings. You will provide technical support to Facilities management and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities include overseeing HVAC, coordinating with production to minimize downtime, managing vendors, budgeting, and safety programs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; AA preferred in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC.
  • 5+ years experience in facilities maintenance with electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Licenses: Electrician license preferred; forklift license.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees building operations and maintenance, planning, inventories, energy management, grounds maintenance and janitorial.
  • Manages HVAC equipment in all buildings.
  • Schedules facility activities with production managers to minimize conflicts with production schedules.
  • Oversees major infrastructure repairs and renovations with vendors/contractors, including bid process, contract compliance, and vendor/contractor performance.
  • Liaises for remodeling, renovation and construction projects as it relates to product standards, design standards, scheduling shut-downs and system interruptions.
  • Assists with the development of and compliance with departmental budgets, including capital, operating and construction budgets.
  • Ensures continued compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations – OSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations.
  • Works directly with vendors and Purchasing to request proposals for repairs, maintenance and capital improvements
  • Develops and oversees staffing, training, scheduling, and budgeting for facilities personnel.
  • Establishes a safe work environment for employees by performing safety audits and inspections, conducting safety-related training, and maintaining on-going communications with employees.

Under general direction, organizes, monitors, and leads facility maintenance operations; performs a variety of technical tasks relative to facility maintenance; provides technical assistance to Maintenance-Facilities management.

  • Oversees building operations and maintenance, plans and operations, furniture and equipment inventories, utility operations, energy management, grounds maintenance and janitorial.

Education

High school, General Education (GED), Associate Arts ( AA) degree preferred in electrical, mechanical and HVAC

Experience

5+years related experience; trade knowledge including NEMA standards for the electrical industry. Experience and coursework in blueprint reading, electrical, heating and plumbing systems, proven experience running conduit and electrical services

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Certificates and Licenses

Valid driver's license, Electrician license preferred, and Forklift/Boom/Scissor License
