The Bergaila Companies is seeking a Lead Facilities Engineer III in Midland, TX to support critical oil & gas infrastructure. You will evaluate discipline engineering, lead small projects, and coordinate with Contractors to ensure work adheres to company standards and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in oil & gas facilities engineering, strong P&ID and MOC experience, and proven project management skills.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas Facilities Engineering.
  • MOCs drawings management and scope of work, BOM knowledge.
  • P&ID proficiency and red-lining experience.
  • Small to medium project management experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specs, codes and safety criteria.
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines and heavy workloads; English technical communication.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work to ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate discipline engineering and design routines with team alignment.
  • Lead small projects to completion and coordinate with Contractors.
  • Debottleneck production volumes and address safety and risk hazards.
  • Minimize downtime and optimize production at existing assets.

Overview

Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by Contractors and sub-contractors to ensure that work is being executed in accordance with Company specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. Facilitates effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the team's goals, objectives, and procedures. Assures accurate and timely communication among the team and other company Functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues. In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Brownfield Facilities Engineer providing operations support and surveillance for existing assets
  • Lead individual small projects to completion
  • Debottleneck new production volumes / batteries when needed
  • Close out potential Safety & Risk hazards through engineering actions
  • Minimize downtime for existing assets, optimize production at existing assets
Required Skills
  • 5+ years' experience in Oil & Gas Facilities Engineering
  • Manage MOCs drawings, purring together scope of work, bill of materials (Oil & Gas Industry). Midland Basin facilities, process engineering.
  • Experience in red-lining documents and P&ID proficiency
  • Small and medium sized project management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Offices suite of software programs
  • Read, write and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communication
Preferred Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with a focus on facilities or plant engineering
Other Requirements
  • Willingness to travel to Big Lake as needed
  • Valid driver’s license and personal transportation (or acceptability of provided allowances)
  • Ability to commit to a 6-month initial contract with potential for extension
