Job summary

American Timber and Steel in Norwalk, OH is seeking a skilled fabricator to review drawings, operate the CNC Plasma Table, and fabricate items to specification. The role requires leadership of junior staff and strict adherence to safety procedures, PPE use, and company policies.

Schedule is 8-5, Monday through Friday, with benefits including health and life insurance, disability coverage, paid time off, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading CAD 2D and 3D drawings.
• Metal Working Experience.
• Ability to lead staff by example and handle light supervisory duties.
• Experience with fabrication shop equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and ensure parts are made to specification.
• Operate CNC Plasma Table.
• Fabricate items as needed.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane.
• Coach and train lower-level fabricators on proper execution of duties and ensure policies are followed.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed, including proper PPE usage.
