Job summary

LEADERMAN in Houma, LA is seeking a skilled fitter/fabrication professional for a full-time role on a 5/2 rotational schedule. The candidate will layout, position, align and secure parts for welding and bolt-up, and interpret ISO's and P&IDs.

You will measure, mark, cut, bore, fit and install structural components using hand and power tools; participate in safety processes and conduct behavioral safety observations; candidates must pass a hands-on fitter test.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years prior fabrication experience.
• Able to interpret ISO's and P&ID's.
• Able to cut with a torch.
• Square-cut and bevel-cut metal using arc cutting equipment.
• Pierce and cut slots in metal using plasma arc cutting equipment.
• Create field sketches.
• Experience using safe work habits.
• Candidates will be required to pass a Hands-on Fitter Test.

Responsibilities

• Layout, position, aligns and secures parts for welding and bolt-up.
• Measure, mark, cut, bore, fit and/or install various structural components using hand and power tools.
• Participate in JSA's and all other Safety, Health and Environmental Processes.
• Conduct behavioral based safety observations.
