Job summary

Top Metal Solutions is seeking a bilingual Advanced Technician to lead rack refurbishment projects and operate CNC equipment (laser and plasma). This on‑site, full‑time role involves supervising a small team, reviewing engineering drawings, and ensuring high quality and safety standards across the production floor.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in metal fabrication, is proficient with MIG/Flux welding to AWS D1.1/D1.3, and can program CNC laser/plasma equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial or metal fabrication settings.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience programming and operating CNC laser and plasma cutting tables.
• Proficiency with MIG/Flux welding and AWS D1.1/D1.3 standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train a small team (approx. three assistants) on rack refurbishment and CNC cutting tasks.
• Review engineering drawings to determine repair requirements, materials, and processes.
• Plan and execute rack maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with AWS D1.1/D1.3, DFT and internal quality standards.
• Program and operate laser and plasma cutting tables for parts and production runs.
• Coordinate material usage, maintain inventory levels, and ensure safe handling of consumables and tools.
• Track and report KPIs including repaired racks, scrap, productivity and costs.
• Enforce safety standards (OSHA/EPP) across the team.
• Operate forklifts for material handling and ensure safe storage/transport of components.
• Support production operations when refurbishment work is pending.
