Job summary

Aaru is seeking an Research Manager, Evaluation to lead a focused team of Evaluation Researchers and research engineers in New York City. You will translate the company's evaluation charter into a coherent portfolio of studies, datasets, and shared infrastructure, driving the quality, pace, and usefulness of the team’s work.

You will design studies, review statistical choices, inspect failures, and contribute to the hardest evaluations.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership of a research team.
• Ability to translate charter into measurable evaluation studies.
• Rigorous statistical reasoning and uncertainty quantification.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of Evaluation Researchers and research engineers.
• Translate evaluation charter into a coherent portfolio of studies and shared infrastructure.
• Set priorities and hire exceptional people; develop the team and provide candid feedback.
• Design end-to-end studies to determine if improvements translate to decision-relevant value.
• Review evidence, ensure reproducibility, and communicate results clearly.
