Job summary

Tiello is seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager for commercial MEP construction in Kansas City, MO. The role combines estimating and project leadership from preconstruction through turnover, managing client relationships and coordinating field operations.

The ideal candidate will oversee diverse MEP scopes, work closely with internal teams, and drive profitability and project success on technically demanding commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating and/or managing commercial MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specs, contracts, and project documentation.
• Ability to prepare detailed takeoffs, estimates, budgets, and change-order pricing.
• Excellent client communication and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and general conditions pricing.
• Solicit vendor and subcontractor proposals and evaluate bids.
• Coordinate with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Lead project kickoff, coordination, progress and closeout meetings.
• Monitor labor productivity, procurement, committed costs, and overall project profitability.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, contractual, and scheduling requirements.
• Maintain accurate cost forecasts and regular financial reporting.
