Job summary

Harba in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking a Technical Lead for Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) manufacturing. You will lead capital equipment projects and provide mentorship to junior engineers while driving continuous improvement across various teams.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience and a strong background in OSD equipment. You’ll also have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a solid understanding of GMP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) manufacturing equipment.
• Lead capital equipment projects including specification, procurement, installation, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup.
• Develop and own URS, technical specifications, and equipment lifecycle documentation.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and reliability improvements.
• Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, MSAT, QA, Validation, and Maintenance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Direct experience with OSD equipment (blending, granulation, compression, coating, encapsulation, milling).
• Proven capital project leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of GMP regulations and validation requirements.
• Experience working with OEMs and managing vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field).
