Job summary

Goldbelt, Inc. is seeking an Epidemiologist IV to provide epidemiological support for the International Infection Control Program (IICB).

The role involves collaborating with CDC staff across locations to monitor infection prevention, surveillance, and antimicrobial resistance, with responsibilities including developing guidance, training, and data-driven recommendations. The position requires 3–5 years of epidemiology experience, proficiency in R/Python, and the ability to translate findings

Qualifications

  • Ability to independently develop analytic approaches and evaluate validity of findings.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with limited supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Experience communicating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of public health surveillance, data quality, confidentiality and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with CDC staff to monitor infection prevention and surveillance activities.
  • Develop guidance, training materials, and monitoring tools; provide training and support to health ministries and facilities.
  • Develop strategies to improve data collection, analysis, and use for antimicrobial resistance and novel viruses.
  • Create internal and external communications on antimicrobial resistance and novel viruses.
  • Prepare data summaries, feedback reports, and presentations for partners.
  • Participate in calls and meetings with partners; support CDC response activities.
