Job summary

American Safety Services is seeking Environmental Field Technicians to support soil remediation and reclamation projects through physical labor, basic equipment handling, and site preparation.

Technicians start in a labor-focused role and may advance to Field Tech II; progression into Equipment Operator tracks is available through hands-on experience as skills develop.

The role requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., walk over uneven terrain and perform labor-intensive tasks.
  • Pre-Employment drug screening required per state regulations.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with excavation, material handling, and site preparation.
  • Operate and maintain basic field equipment for environmental monitoring (Level II).
  • Support heavy equipment operators by acting as a spotter.
  • Conduct drum collection, waste handling and hazardous material disposal.
  • Follow strict safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas to ensure efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Field Supervisor.
