Job summary

Humana is seeking a Lead Enterprise Architect to shape technology strategy across payer, provider, pharmacy, clinical, corporate, and digital domains. You will influence executive leadership, drive modernization at scale, and deliver secure, compliant platforms that improve business outcomes and healthcare experiences.

You will report to an Associate Director of Enterprise Architecture and collaborate with senior leaders to set architecture governance and modernization roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive IT domain experience.
  • 5+ years leading enterprise architecture initiatives in large environments.
  • Experience influencing executive stakeholders and large engineering teams.

This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide strategy, drive modernization at scale, and partner directly with executive leadership to deliver innovative, secure, and resilient technology platforms that improve business outcomes and healthcare experiences.

You’ll collaborate with senior tech domain leaders, product and engineering teams, infrastructure organizations, and cybersecurity stakeholders to define modern architecture standards, accelerate innovation, and enable scalable enterprise capabilities across the organization.

We’re looking for a strategic technology leader who combines deep architecture expertise with strong business acumen and healthcare industry knowledge.

The ideal candidate is passionate about solving complex enterprise challenges, influencing organizational direction, and building future-ready platforms that balance agility, performance, security, and operational excellence.

You will report to an Associate Director of Enterprise Architecture.

The Lead Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining enterprise-wide technology strategy and architecture standards. These standards and modernization roadmaps apply across a complex healthcare ecosystem, which spans payer, provider, pharmacy, clinical, corporate, and tech domains. Additionally, the Lead Enterprise Architect governs digital transformation initiatives.

Work Style:

This position’s work style is remote from any of the locations listed below. You must reside in close proximity to one of these locations or within 50-60 miles for occasional in office meet ups.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$142,300 - $195,700 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
