Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace US LLC is seeking a Test Equipment Maintenance Technician II at the Deer Valley site in Phoenix, AZ. You will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and optimize production test equipment to minimize downtime and support continuous improvements.

Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will work a day shift, Monday–Friday, collaborating with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve reliability and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience maintaining production test equipment or related electronics in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic test equipment, circuit board troubleshooting, and electrical systems.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems; repair boards, wiring, relays, sensors, and power supplies.
  • Diagnose failures using schematics, diagrams, and test equipment.
  • Use diagnostic tools like DMMs and oscilloscopes to identify issues.
  • Analyze performance and recommend improvements for reliability and uptime.
  • Document maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering on upgrades and corrective actions.
  • Train team members on equipment operation and safety.
  • Support equipment installations and validations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and manufacturing standards.

Job description

As a Test Equipment Maintenance Technician II here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing production test equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will support production operations by minimizing equipment downtime, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring reliable test system performance. You will work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability, resolve technical issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

You will report to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, and work out of our Deer Valley (Phoenix), AZ site on a day shift schedule, Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production test equipment and related systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, including circuit boards, wiring, connectors, relays, sensors, and power supplies.
  • Diagnose equipment failures using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical documentation, and electronic test equipment.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and uptime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, equipment performance, and modifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on equipment upgrades, process improvements, and corrective actions.
  • Train team members on proper equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and applicable safety practices.
  • Support equipment installations, validations, and production line improvements as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
Qualifications
MUST HAVE
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining production test equipment, electronic equipment, or manufacturing systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic test equipment, circuit board troubleshooting, electrical systems, and production testing processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems at the component, assembly, and wiring levels.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic test instruments.
WE VALUE
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience maintaining production test equipment in electronics, aerospace, semiconductor, medical device, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with soldering, component replacement, and circuit board repair.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and maintenance documentation systems.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards applicable to electronic test equipment and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ideal Candidate

A hands-on electronics technician with strong troubleshooting skills who enjoys diagnosing and repairing production test equipment, interpreting schematics, and working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to keep operations running efficiently.
