Stanley Black & Decker in Towson, MD is hiring a Lead Electrical Engineering Technician for the Power Tools Group. This onsite role supports test preparation, testing, and fixture development, with opportunities to troubleshoot, assemble fixtures, and help maintain test setups.

The perfect candidate holds an associate degree or technical certification, 2+ years in electronics testing, strong communication, and proficiency in DC/AC circuitry and data reporting in Excel.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or certification in technical or electrical field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience working in electronics, electrical and environmental testing.
  • Knowledge of data acquisition and Excel data reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist other technicians and engineers with test preparation and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare cells and packs for testing (resistance welding, soldering, wiring).
  • Perform cell and pack abuse, environmental and cycle life testing on various equipment and software.
  • Assemble and repair fixtures and test set-ups.
  • Perform equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and recycling of cells and packs.
  • Maintain supplies and cell storage.
