Job summary

GAS Energy Staffing LLC seeks a Lead Engineering Technician in Overland Park, KS to lead technical design activities, develop and maintain drawings using CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling, and ensure design quality, budget, and schedules. Responsibilities

• Establishes, communicates, and enforces design and graphic standards
• Reviews project requirements to determine correct formats and deliverable content
• Reviews design inputs to ensure consistency and compliance
• Ensures that design deliverables are prepared, coordinated among disciplines, and issued in accordance with BV Quality Assurance Procedures and project-specific procedures
• Applies sound engineering fundamentals and established design practices in developing deliverables
• Exercises judgment, makes work-related decisions, and guides other professionals
• Monitors production to assure consistency, budget, and schedule of deliverables
• Establishes drawing control methods and maintains historical records
• Leads or supports development of new or updated design applications and processes
• Coordinates with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development
• Communicates project design requirements, progress, and schedules
• Responsible for determining and identifying key client interests and drivers on projects. Communicates client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns
• Leads development and communication of design standards and process improvement initiatives
