Prepare and present technical data, including formal reports for customer approval and informal desktop reviews
Read, understand, and create 2D assembly and component drawings including GD&T
Review, edit, and create 3D component and assembly models
Provide shop floor technical support to production, quality assurance, and testing departments
Perform failure / root cause analyses, develop corrective actions, validate conclusions, implement and measure solutions.
Lead internal design review process to prove new designs before release
Develop and manage activity schedules including critical path identification and mitigation
Effectively communicate design drivers and key technical characteristics to non-technical individuals
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Minimum of five years of experience with mechanical systems, preferably in fluid power or mechanisms.
Strong technical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities
Ability to develop, execute, and follow through on comprehensive engineering plans
Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multitasking environment while maintaining a strong focus on technical quality and results.
Ability to conceptualize a solution in response to customer requirements
Familiarity with requirements traceability from specifications through qualification
Clear and effective communication, including the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally to a diverse audience.
Strong ability to collaborate effectively and build strong professional relationships with employees at all levels of the organization, from the shop floor to company ownership.
Must be a U.S. Person
Experience in design, application, and/or testing of mechanisms involving actuators, gears, and bearings.
Experience in material selection including hardness, surface finishes, platings, and protective finishes
Use of commercial FEA software as part of design decision making and verification
Experience with DoD acquisition process and program phases as it pertains to the product development process
Knowledge of and ability to comply with ITAR and ISO 9001: 2015
Preferred experience in marking and handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
