Job summary

Agua Caliente Casinos in Rancho Mirage, CA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to uphold the hotel casino's indoor and outdoor facilities. The role covers HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs across the property.

You will work with all departments, coordinate with engineering in the absence of the Engineering Manager, and ensure safety regulations and documentation are maintained. Physical demands include walking, stairs, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• In absence of the Engineering Manager, receive and review all Engineering request forms and delegate as needed.
• Responsible for timely repairs, maintenance, installation of HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, cooling towers and related piping.
• Monitor meters, gauges, and testing equipment to assure accurate operation and identify repair paths.
• Document all repairs and preventive maintenance activities accurately.
• Monitor and maintain the Building Management System (BMS) for proper operation.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for central plant repairs performed professionally.
• Perform departmental projects including electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Carry out refrigeration repairs, welding, masonry, carpentry, and plumbing tasks.
• Provide excellent guest service to guests and internal clients.

General maintenance of hotel casino indoor and outdoor premises. Work with all departments on an as needed basis. Coordinates Engineering activity in the absence of the Engineering Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

• In the absence of the Engineering Manager, receives and reviews all Engineering request forms to decide problem and resolution and delegates in the absence of the Engineering Manager.


• Responsible for timely repairs, maintenance, installation of HVAC, Chillers, Boilers, Pumps, Cooling towers, and related piping.


• Responsible for meters, gauges, and other testing equipment, and to assure the accurate operation, in order to detect and identify problems and the appropriate path for repairs.


• Responsible for all timely and accurate documentation of all repairs and PM reports.


• Monitors and maintains the BMS (building management system) for accurate operation.


• Works with outside vendors (pertaining specifically to the central plant, and associated equipment) to assure that repairs are carried out in professional and qualified manner.


• Performs departmental technical projects which include, but not limited to, electrical and mechanical repairs.


• Performs refrigeration repairs.


• Performs metal fabrication welding repairs.


• Performs Plumbing repairs.


• Performs Electrical repairs.


• Performs kitchen equipment repairs.


• Performs Masonry repairs


• Performs carpentry repairs.


• Provides excellent guest service to both guest and internal clients.


• Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance Regulations, and the ACRM and ACPS systems of internal controls, and standard operating procedures.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs. Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment. Must be able to work in a "lighting subdued" environment for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions to include extreme heat and cold weather.
Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will elevate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
