Qualifications

• Bachelor’s level degree in Engineering (e.g. Computer Science / Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering or related STEM field).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience.
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to cultivate and manage relationships with varying levels in/out of the organization, including supplier.
• Strong customer service focus and mindset.
• Strong project organization and management capability.
• Ability to acclimate to new environments, negotiate through unknowns and meet new people.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of engineering solutions with drawings and validation for head unit software, managing risks and variations.
• Create clear reports, presentations and technical documents for records and communication with Technical Experts and Leads.
• Develop documentation such as specifications, test reports, evaluation documents and drawings, and ensure completeness and quality.
• Maintain external accreditations and knowledge of current technologies, regulations and best practices.
• Analyze data and interpret test results to predict performance and provide product data.
• Lead technical negotiations with suppliers and guide junior colleagues in supplier interactions.
• Direct suppliers to design and manage components to maturation schedules.
• Perform hands-on testing and develop unique requirements for system components to guarantee performance.
• Identify critical functional requirements for hardware, software and communications to meet customer demands.
• Develop and issue specification requirements for system components.
• Research future infotainment system architectures and development methods.
