Job summary

A2e Technologies is seeking a Lead Embedded Software Networking Engineer in San Diego for a long-term contract or permanent role. Start date ASAP with a focus on embedded Linux and network switch software to support high-bandwidth Ethernet switching.

Responsibilities include protocol implementation, diagnostics, and PTP timing, with emphasis on reliability and performance. US citizenship is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a US citizen.
• Extensive experience developing embedded software/firmware for network switches.
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet switching and real-time protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux software for high-bandwidth Ethernet switching.
• Implement and test network protocols and services (Layers 2–4).
• Perform diagnostics, BIT, and system monitoring to ensure reliability.
